This... This is absolutely gorgeous! This is what pixel art is all about! I've dabbled in HD-izing sprites into pixel art before, so I know the challenge this poses, but I've never seen a sprite enlarged to become just so beautiful before!

Vision: You knew exactly what you were trying to make, and you succeeded with flying colors!

Originality: HD sprites are not alltogether uncommon, but I've never seen them done just so perfectly before. The detail is so minute, it's uncanny! It beats the pants off of the Sonic 2 HD sprites on that factor alone!

Technique: I thought for a moment that you copied and edited his front foot to make the back foot, which would've been clever and effective, but now that I look closer, they're so different, I can't be sure you didn't make both feet from scratch. Very well done!

Impact: If anyone ever dares to re-make Chrono trigger again, they must use these sprites and have you on the project. It's so beautiful, I can barely imagine how it would look animated!

Very, very well done.

Again, I'm blown away with your ability to reinvent such iconic characters! Starting with the details themselves, you left no detail unturned, and I can tell you must have given the original concept art a good look. Though Robo never had much of a personality to begin with, you managed to not squander any details of his face, keeping his robotic, intelligent-looking appearance. This is a small improvement over your "Ed and Al" and I think that can be accredited to the increase in size of the pixel art.

Your harsh-highlights and subtle shades also looks very much like the original art, and your demonstration of texture on Robo's armor is fantastic. Texture is a very challenging thing to pull off in pixel art, but bolt for bolt this looks just like Robo! You kept all of the trimming on his armor and the colors are very very accurate, even vibrant considering the metallic and limited palette Robo originally had.

The pixels are very sharp and you used your anti-aliasing very smartly, but not to the point of the pixel art looking blurry. You used your 18 colors efficiently, and none are squandered in this piece. Your shading on the armor is also good, as I find it very hard myself to pull off a metallic look in pixel art.

Very few complaints here as far as that is concerned. The outline on his pelvic plate at the bottom does look a bit unnecessarily jagged and the lighting on the top of his right boot looks a bit unrealistic, that could use some fixing.

I'm a big fan of the original Chrono Trigger (I've gotten about 4 of the endings on the DS version) and this does Robo good. When I look at this art, I think that it's a shame the game had to be released on the SNES (Even though that's the best system ever) because the graphics couldn't of been this good.

I'm still trying to get a hold on pixel art myself, but I would love to critic anyone's work for no charge if it has merit. Drop me a line if anyone reading this wants a constructive critique!

I find myself commenting on everything you make. Youre more or less at the pinnacle of pixel art, along with several others on the site. Great work as always.
